REGULATIONS
 
Vending – this is regulated vending under the Parish Council (sales of goods in public places) Regulations 2004- St. Catherine.
 
Derelict vehicles - this regulated under the Parochial Roads Act and National Solid Waste Management Act.
 
Building Breaches and change of use of property - this is regulated under the Town Country Planning Act, Parish Council Building Act, and the St. Catherine Coast Development Order.
 
Littering – this is regulated under the National Solid Waste Management Act.
 
Squatting -  this is dealt with under the trespass Act, the Resident Magistrates Act, the Parochial Roads Act.
 
Overgrown lots – this is regulated by the Public Health Department if there are rodents; the Town Nuisances Prevention Act if it is a security risk or causing danger to residents.
 
Noise Nuisance – primarily the responsibility of the Police Force however under the Parish Council Place of Amusement Regulations 1999.  If no permit was issued for an event then the Portmore City Municipality can terminate such an event with assistance from the JCF.
 
Commercial activities in residential premises regulated under the Town and Country Planning Act, St. Catherine Coast Development Order.
 
Encroachments on drain and road reservations (includes walkways and swales) regulated under The Parochial Roads Act.
