PORTMORE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL TO HOST PORTMORE GOLD JAMBOREE 2018
The Portmore Municipal Council will host the second staging of the Portmore Gold Jamboree on Wednesday August 1, 2018 at the Portmore Mall. The event will also mark 15 years as a municipality.
The gala type celebration is slated to begin at 12 noon and will include something for the entire family. There will be display booths showcasing pieces of authentic Jamaican crafts and artifacts. Authentic Jamaican cuisine will also be on sale.
Activities on the day will include a Kiddies Village as well as rides, road games, box truck and cart racing competitions and much more for the young and the young at heart. Local groups, community artistes and gold medal awardees of the JCDC Performing Arts Festival are set set to perform.
At 6pm, see performances by International Gospel Artiste Jermaine Edwards and International Dancehall and Reggae acts Beenie Man, Agent Sasco, Louie Culture and Popcaan. There will also be fireworks mid-show.
The Portmore Gold Jamboree will be hosted by Burgerman.
