Under the general direction of the Chief Executive Officer, the Compliance Officer has prime responsibility for ensuring revenues such as Property Taxes, General Revenues with which the Council has direct responsibility for realizing are collected and are able to fund the budget prepared for the fiscal year.
To manage the Compliance/Enforcement process as it relates to the Laws under the Building Act, Town & Country Planning Act, Town Nuisance Act, Fire Regulation, Amusement Regulation and the Public Health (Barbers & Hairdressers) regulations etc.

Summary of Duties:
Under the general direction of the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation through the City Inspector, the incumbent will be responsible for enforcing the respective regulations, policies and rules governing the operations of the Corporation.
Under the general direction of the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation through the Market Manager (or his/her nominee), the Market Clerk shall collect market fees and report collection of same to the Market Manager.
