The KSAC, being the leading innovative Local Authority will this year confer Civic and Community Awards on former Mayors, Councillors, Staff and outstanding citizens who have served selflessly and who have gone above and beyond the call of duty, and, who have, through their individual and collective efforts caused the tremendous improvements across the municipality whether politically, economically or socially.
These unsung heroes have sought no special recognition or thanks, nor have they thought their efforts any more special or distinctive that any other citizens, but who simply strove to give of their best in everything they have done to advance the municipality.
The KSAC will host the conferment of these awards every three years and will retain the central authority to broaden categories and select recipients in consultation between political and administrative leadership as well as external agency partners.
The inaugural Civic & Community Awards will be held on Friday, November 27, 2015 at the Spanish Court Hotel, St. Andrew.
