Ewarton Division Forum

Remarkable Turnout of Agencies at Ewarton Division Forum - St. Catherine
More than 75 residents of the Ewarton Division in St. Catherine yesterday gathered at the Ewarton Community Centre for one in a series of community fora hosted by the St. Catherine Municipal Corporation. As customary, the meeting saw representatives from:

Ministry of Labour and Social Security
Tax Administration Jamaica
Ministry of Health
Registrar General’s Department
National Solid Waste Management Authority
National Water Commission
Social Development Commission
Police, St. Catherine (North)
Rural Agricultural Development Agency (RADA) and
Land Administration and Management Agency (LAMP) located in Kingston.

According to Councillor for the Division, Mrs. Beverly Jobson-Grant, the turnout of representation from agencies was remarkable and they did a fairly good job in providing the necessary information, making clear several questions and concerns in the approximately four hours of discussions.

There will be other seminars and fairs in the Ewarton Division with a host of Agencies and organizations later down in July and in August 2017, which will benefit the residents of the Ewarton Division, said Councillor Jobson-Grant.

Councillor for the Lluidas Vale Division, Mr. Hugh Graham was also present, wearing two hats, his, and that of Member of Parliament for North West St. Catherine, Mr. Robert Pickersgill, whom he was representing. The Councillor made a brief discourse, subsequent to which he offered the vote of thanks.

The forum which started just minutes before 6:00 p.m., ended approximately 9:06 p.m.
