COMPLIANCE OFFICERS RECEIVE NEW EQUIPMENT AT MUSTER PARADE

Muster Parade at the St. Catherine Municipal Corporation’s Compliance Unit was Friday May 12, 2017. Fourteen (14) Municipal Police Officers were on parade; some of whom were presented with new equipment/gears to aid in the execution of their duties. These included flash out baton, handcuff, carry all vest and rehydration kit.

There to observe were Commercial Services Manager Mr. Upton Fisher and Head of Compliance, Mr. William Malabver.  Outgoing Chief Executive Officer Mr. Michael Morris was also present and asked to do the honors of making the presentations to the Officers. 

Mr. Morris encouraged the Officers to continue to do their best in carrying out their duties and to use the new equipment lawfully and to take care of it.

Mr. Malabver said, soon other Municipal Officers will be sent on a training course for the proper use of batons.   He said this exercise will be carried out at the National Police College of Jamaica, Twickenham Park, St. Catherine. Assistant Commissioner of Police Mr. Norman Hayewood will be in charge of the training.
