The official opening of the Marlie Hill Water Shop located in South Manchester was held on Monday, May 14, 2018. The main speaker was Minister of Local Government & Community Development, Honourable Desmond McKenzie.
Minister McKenzie says that the establishment of water shops is one of the means of addressing the chronic water shortage in the southern section of the island which usually suffers from severe drought conditions.
The next water shop for the parish will be constructed in the Bellefield Division Central Manchester.
