World Autism Awareness

Earlier this month (April 2) , we observed  World Autism Awareness Day. Here in Jamaica, we have been doing our part to raise awareness as well. In this regard,   I wish to lift my proverbial hat to the parents and caregivers of those persons with autism for the tremendous work they have been doing to help these individuals to find a secure place in our society. I thank them for the lessons of selflessness and love that they continue to teach us.

I also wish to commend those persons living with autism for the lessons they continue to teach us of resilience and unfettered love that they offer to us each day.

Special commendation to the Jamaica Autism Support Association and their members as well as similar groups for the work they have been doing to enhance awareness in this area.
I invite you to  attend the World Autism Day Concert at Emancipation Park on Saturday, April 30 commencing at 4:00pm.

The KSAC is pleased to have been able to provide sponsorship for this event and by extension,  assist in building awareness around this issue that affects so many of us.
